Cloud migration services that scale with you
Our cloud migration services move your applications and data to AWS or Azure a piece at a time, while your current system keeps running. Once you're there, we automate your releases and keep the monthly bill in check as you grow.

Move to the cloud with little or no downtime
We move you to AWS or Azure in stages, then keep an eye on performance and cost.
What we do
- Cloud migrationYour systems moved to AWS or Azure
- Infrastructure as codeServers and networks defined in Terraform
- Containers and KubernetesApps packaged in Docker, scaling with demand
- DevOps servicesSmall, frequent releases you can easily undo
- Cloud cost optimisationCut oversized servers and storage nobody uses
- Monitoring and reliabilityDashboards and alerts that spot problems early
- Reply within one business day
- A fixed estimate once we have assessed everything
Six parts of our cloud work
We plan for the load your systems will carry years from now, as well as on the day you switch over.
Cloud migration
We move your applications, databases and files onto AWS or Azure. Your current system stays switched on until the new one has proved itself.
Infrastructure as code
We describe your servers and networks in Terraform code and keep its full history. If an environment breaks, we can rebuild it exactly as it was.
Containers and Kubernetes
Docker wraps each application in a neat package. Kubernetes runs those packages, starts extra copies when traffic climbs and swaps out any copy that fails.
DevOps services
We set up CI/CD pipelines (automated steps that test and release each change). Your team ships small changes often, and any one of them is easy to undo.
Cloud cost optimisation
We look for the waste: servers bigger than they need to be, storage nobody uses, test machines left running all night. Then we shrink it, schedule it or switch it off.
Monitoring and reliability
We add dashboards, alerts and tested backups. Most problems get spotted before a customer does.
What is cloud migration?
Cloud migration moves your software and data from servers you own or rent to a provider such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure. You rent computing power by the hour instead of buying hardware for your busiest day.
If you rush it, you end up with the same slow, fragile system in a new place and a bigger bill. So we spend the first weeks planning before we move anything.
Who our cloud migration services are for
- Businesses running on old servers that cost more each year to keep going.
- Teams who release by hand, late at night, and hope nothing breaks.
- Companies whose cloud bill keeps climbing and nobody can say why.
- Products that need to reach customers in more regions.
How a typical cloud setup fits together
We use widely supported tools, so your own team can run it after handover.
Four ways to move an application
We choose a route for each application separately, and most migrations end up using two or three of them. Moving an older system? Our guide to legacy system modernisation covers when to rebuild it first.
| Route | What happens | Best when | Effort |
|---|---|---|---|
| Move as it is | Moves to cloud servers with few or no changes | You must leave a data centre quickly | Low |
| Move and adjust | Small changes, such as a managed database | You want less upkeep without a rewrite | Medium |
| Rebuild for the cloud | Parts rewritten to run in containers and scale on demand | The application is central to growth and struggles today | High |
| Replace or retire | Swapped for a packaged service or switched off | Few people use it, or a good product exists | Varies |
How a cloud migration works
There are five stages. Each one ends with a written result, and we only move on once you have approved it.
- Assess what you haveA list of your apps, data and costs, and what could go wrong.
- Plan the pathA route per app, the target design and a fixed estimate.
- Build the foundationNetworks, access, backups, pipelines and monitoring as code.
- Key stepMigrate in stagesA few apps at a time, tested with real traffic, with the old system ready as a fallback.
- Optimise and hand overWe resize what is too big, retire old servers and train your team.
When each stage happens
Timing for a larger move. Smaller migrations finish sooner, from 6 weeks.
Which cloud provider should you choose?
Both are reliable. What usually decides it is what you already use, and we put our recommendation and reasons in writing.
Microsoft Azure
A good fit if you already run Microsoft 365, Windows servers or .NET, because your sign ins and licences carry across.
Amazon Web Services
A good fit for new products that want the widest choice of managed services.
An existing agreement
If you already have credits or a contract with one provider, that often decides it.
How long it takes and what it costs
Most migrations take 6 to 16 weeks. You get a fixed estimate after the assessment.
What moves the cost most
- Number of applications and databasesHigh
- Parts that must be rebuiltHigh
- Amount of data and how often it changesMedium
- How little downtime you can acceptMedium
- Security and data location rulesMedium
- Ongoing DevOps services after the moveOptional
At the end of the project
- A working cloud setup. It runs on AWS or Azure, in accounts you own.
- Infrastructure as code. Terraform files that let you rebuild any environment.
- Release pipelines. A CI/CD setup that tests and releases every change.
- Monitoring and alerts. Dashboards, alert rules and backups we have tested.
- A cost report. Where your money goes each month, and what we cut.
- Runbooks. Plain written steps for everyday tasks and for when something goes wrong.
What changes after the move
Role based access and encryption at rest and in transit come as standard. Our application security services can go further.
Cloud migration services: your questions
Mainly AWS and Microsoft Azure. If you use another provider, tell us and we'll say honestly whether we're the right fit.
In most cases there is little or no downtime. We copy data ahead of time, move traffic over gradually and keep your old system as a fallback. If a short pause can't be avoided, we schedule it for your quietest hours.
Usually 6 to 16 weeks. It depends mostly on how many applications you have, how much data there is and whether any parts need rebuilding.
We can. Many clients move on to our software maintenance and support service, so someone keeps watching cost, performance and reliability.
Not always. It earns its keep when you run lots of services that each need to grow on their own. For a handful of applications, simpler managed services cost less, and that is what we'd recommend.
We build on it where it's sound. Where it's holding you back, we'll show you why and what we would change.
Industries we do cloud work in
Cloud work matters most where demand jumps around. Retail and ecommerce sites face their heaviest load on a few big sale days each year. In travel and hospitality, one campaign can double demand overnight. In media and entertainment, a single popular story can bring a huge rush of visitors within an hour. Logistics runs day and night, so there is never a quiet window to take systems down for maintenance. See all the industries we work in.
