Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We've kept the language plain so you don't need a lawyer to follow it.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to v6cube.com. The site is run by v6cube.com, with its head office in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. When this policy says "we", "us" or "V6 Cube", it means that company.

What we collect and why

This site collects information in two ways. The first is anything you choose to send us through the enquiry form. The second is the small amount of technical information every website receives when a page loads.

The enquiry form

When you send an enquiry, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, company name, the service you are interested in, an optional budget range and your message. We use these details only to reply to you, to understand what you need and, if you decide to go ahead, to plan and carry out work for you.

The form also has a hidden field that real visitors never see. If something fills that field in, we treat the message as spam and ignore it.

Technical information from loading a page

When you open a page, your browser asks our hosting provider for the page and its files, including the typefaces, which we host ourselves. As with any website, the host can see your device's IP address (the number that identifies your connection on the internet). We do not use this for advertising or profiling, and this site has no advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Analytics runs only if you agree to it, as explained under analytics and cookies below.

Where data protection law asks us to name a legal basis for using your information, these are the ones we rely on.

  • Consent. When you send the enquiry form, you choose to share your details so that we can reply. You can withdraw that consent at any time by asking us to delete your information.
  • Consent for analytics. We only measure how the site is used if you accept analytics in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
  • Steps you ask us to take before a contract. If your enquiry may lead to us working for you, using your details is a necessary step you have asked us to take before any agreement is signed.
  • Legitimate interests. We keep a record of enquiries and our replies, and we use the hidden spam field to block junk messages. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in running this website and our business, and we balance that interest against your right to privacy.

How long we keep enquiries

We keep the details of an enquiry for as long as we reasonably need them to reply. If we go on to work together, we keep them for as long as we work together, and for a reasonable period after that ends. If an enquiry doesn't lead to any further contact, we aim to delete it, or remove anything that identifies you, within 12 months. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time, as explained under your rights below.

Who processes your information

When you send an enquiry, the server that hosts this website emails it straight to our team. No outside form service touches it, and it is kept only in our own inbox. We never sell or rent your information to anyone, and we never let other companies use it for their own marketing.

If you accept analytics, Google processes the details described under analytics and cookies below on our behalf, as our processor for Google Analytics.

You can also message us on WhatsApp. Those messages travel through WhatsApp, which is run by Meta under its own privacy policy, and we treat what you send the same way as an enquiry. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp yourself.

Fonts

The typefaces on this site are stored on our own website and loaded from there. Opening a page does not contact Google or any other font provider.

Analytics and what we store on your device

We use Google Analytics to learn which pages visitors find useful, but only if you agree. On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics, and a Cookie settings link at the foot of every page lets you change your answer at any time. If you say no, or ignore the banner, no analytics code loads and no analytics cookies are set. The site carries no advertising, so no advertising network is given anything about your visit.

What Google Analytics records

If you accept, Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, counts your visit. It records the pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a search engine), your approximate region based on your IP address, your type of device and browser, and whether you clicked a contact button, an email link or a WhatsApp link, used the project estimator or sent an enquiry. It does not record what you type into the enquiry form, only which service you picked. Google acts as our processor, and its own privacy policy applies to how it handles this information.

Google Analytics sets two cookies on this site: _ga, which tells one visitor from another, and _ga_8ZZD87G874, which keeps track of your current visit. Both last up to two years unless you clear them. We use the reports only in combined form to improve the site, never to advertise to you.

What we store in your browser

  • Your theme choice (light or dark), if you use the theme button.
  • Your analytics choice (accepted or declined), once you answer the banner.
  • Where your visit came from: the page you arrived on, the site that linked to you, and any campaign tags in the address you followed.

These stay on your device. The first two are kept in your browser's local storage until you clear them. The last is kept only for as long as the tab is open, and it reaches us if you send an enquiry, so that we can tell which campaign brought you here. If you have accepted analytics, it is also sent to Google Analytics along with the events described above. You can clear your browser's data for this site at any time.

International transfers

Our clients and team members are in many countries. So the information you share with us may be accessed or stored in a country other than your own, including by the service providers described above. Where data protection law treats that country differently, we take reasonable steps to protect your information to a similar standard, for example by using providers that have recognised safeguards in place.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to do any of the following with the information we hold about you.

  • Ask what we hold. Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct it. Request that we fix information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete it. Request that we delete your information, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Object to how we use it. Object to any use that relies on our legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time.
  • Complain to a regulator. Contact your local data protection authority if you believe we have not handled your information properly.

To use any of these rights, email us at info@v6cube.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time. For some requests, we may first need to check that you are who you say you are.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information you share with us from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. No way of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we work with providers that take security seriously, and we review our own practices regularly.

Children

This website and the services it describes are meant for businesses and professional enquiries. We don't knowingly collect information from children. Please use the enquiry form only if you are an adult writing for yourself or for an organisation.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when the site or the law changes. If we make an important change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If you want to stay informed, please check back now and then.
